CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS LABORATORY

“Our Construction Materials Science Lab focuses on researching the properties, characteristics, durability, and seismic behavior of primary construction materials used in the social infrastructure of subtropical island regions, under natural and social environmental conditions. We also advance research in developing new materials in response to social needs.

Our research approach involves understanding the micro to macro behaviors of materials, which change due to various phenomena. This is achieved through a multifaceted methodology that includes ‘experimentation and investigation’, ‘theoretical and analytical studies’, ‘measurement’, and ‘analytical models and empirical rules’. By analyzing and interpreting these methods, we aim to find correlations between them and integrate these insights to evaluate material behavior.”
